London

Nothing much to say. Six explosions in London today - blessedly few fatalities thus far. Multiple explosions are pretty much Al-Qaeda's calling card, though we should all keep an open mind, even if some AQ franchisee is taking credit.

One of the only "up" sides to all this is that the British have a long history of fighting terrorism - thank you, Ireland! - and I don't think the people who did this will get away with it.

The late M. Venizelos observed that in all her wars England - he should have said Britain, of course - always wins one battle - the last.
- Winston Churchill
