University Pays Off, cont.

"These obervers adopted the existing logic of Hollywood: Television would be dependent upon filmed programming - and such programming would not be rerun. In a 1939 Public Opinion Quarterly piece, Jack Western argued, 'Rarely does a moviegoer see a film more than once. There is no reason to believe that the looker will consent to see a [television] transmission more frequently. Afterwards, the film must be relegated to the vaults.' A year later, NBC President Lennox R. Lohr echoed these concerns: "It appears to be inadvisable to broadcast most porgrams more than once. On the second broadcast, the audience is likely to become hypercritical and lose interest.'"

Now, contrast this with the contemporary TV schedule, in which reruns of Simpsons, Friends and Star Trek probably make up a sizable minority of air time...

Rogers screwed me with first month bill for 2500$ and later with 1000$ plus hardware and closure charges of 1000$. for the garbage service GPRS roaming which never worked in KOREA, JAPAN, CHINA, HONGKONG, OR ANY PART OF WORLD.
Their GPRS ROAMING IS GARBAGE. SOMEHOW THEY REFUNDED ME 50% AFTER SEVERE FIGHT, I LOST LOT OF MONEY IN JUST ONE MONTH FOR THEIR GARBAGE AND RIPPING OFF PRACTICES.
NEVER TRUST ROGERS WIRELSS ROAMING AND GPRS, THEY WILL SCREW YOU TO THE EXTENT.
