According to this USA Today article (via Daily Kos) the US Army has lost 80 Abrams tanks since the onset of the war in Iraq. These losses have been entirely due to roadside bombs and the well-known IED's.
That's not quite astonishing, but I'll guarantee you that some foreign militaries are paying attention to the Iraqi insurgency far more than you'd expect.
