More seriously, it's telling that Bush thinks - after taking responsibility for pushing Syria out of Lebanon - Syria can now be invited to help put down Hezbollah, so to speak.
I really don't have too much to say about Lebanon these days. Roughly speaking, the attacks on civilian infrastructure are cruel, unnecessary, and counter-productive, even if Israel is the only force that seems inclined to engage Hezbollah.
Some international resolution will be required, and that is going to need to mean Hezbollah withdraws from the border, agrees to be disarmed, but is allowed to keep it's political role in Lebanon.
Then Israel needs to get to negotiating with Hamas, if that's even possible anymore.
