Stephen Harper has come out for tax cuts.

I know, take a moment, collect yourselves.

It's kind of funny - this is an almost insignificant tax cut, but it will probably do the Conservatives a lot of good just because it's The Hated GST.

I'm generally in favour of cutting sales taxes - they are especially regressive, after all - but in this case I happen to believe that Canada could use more spending, not less. It's not like we're suffering from a shortage of problems.

We're just suffering from a shortage of problem-solvers.
