The Globe and Mail makes it harder to care

A world in which John Barber is replaced by Marcus Gee is not one in which I buy more copies of the G&M.

Marcus Gee! Lovely. Just how pathetic can our establishment media get? And they all wonder why newspapers are in trouble.. But you know, I wouldn't even mind Marcus Gee and his like writing at the G&M if they'd only appease me and people like me with a few progressively minded writers to counter balance all that other stuff... you know, the usual conservative trite answers to all that ails in our society hypnotically repeated and recycled, as if repetition equaled confirmation of a profound truth. Until then I'll pick up the free copies and "read" it with not a whole lot of interest.
