I think you're falling into the trap of focusing on a politician's appearance simply because she is female. How about: -the disappearance of Bob Rae's glasses? -Stephen Harper's hair helmet? -Allan Rock's penchant for beatnik turtlenecks?
I actually was curious about Rae's glasses, now that you mention it - I should have brought that up. I'll point out, in my defense, that I've brought up Harper's seldom-worn glasses making him appear more human once or twice before. I focus on the trivial on an asexual basis, thank you very much.
I'm also on a first-name basis with a reporter who had to spend a day interviewing people on their perceptions of Jack Layton's moustache, so let's not pretend that only female politicians - especially attempted leaders - get judged on their appearance.
What's wrong is when women - politicians or not - are judged solely or largely on their appearance instead of their competence. Believe me, if I were doing that, my opinion of Ms. Stronach would improve substantially.
(I had hoped my sarcasm was clear and that I thought her hair colour was entirely unimportant, but I guess not. Damn internet.)
