This Is Helpful

via DailyKos, this little tidbit:
WASHINGTON - The Homeland Security Department is focusing on possible terror threats from radical environmental and animal rights activists without also examining risks that might be posed by right-wing extremists, House Democrats said Tuesday.
Uh-huh. And everybody noticed which anniversary just passed on Tuesday, right? Because we all remember how Greenpeace and The Sierra Club launched that spate of successful terrorist attacks. No, if Timothy McVeigh were to strike in the US again today, odds are he'd probably get away with it.

Boy, it makes me happy to live in a freeish country. Not only do we have rights, even if we do lean to the left, it also has some fringe benefits, like actual security.
