New Defense Policy To Be Announced

So there's nothing much to blog about, yet. But this paragraph is important:

But much of the document is about the Forces' role in disaster zones and failed and failing states. It cites the need for integrated task forces involving land, sea and air, sources familiar with the plan said Thursday.

Note the inclusion of all three forces. There had been some talk last year of eliminating one of the forces (I believe the RCAF was usually bull's-eyed) but the government seems to have given up on that. It always seemed a bit loony to me, so I'm glad to see it gone.

Of course, this is still the Canadian military we're talking about, so even when we have more information, it's not going to be blog-worthy.
