Eyes open?

Not too long ago, Jim Laxer was busy telling us all how scurrilous the NDP was for running strong against the NDP. The argument on behalf of the NDP, briefly, was that the Liberals basically hated our guts anyway and it wasn't the job of a lefty party to prostrate ourselves whenever the Conservatives were doing well.

Laxer might just be learning.

I'm assuming that sentence should be "...how scurrilous the NDP was for running strong against the Liberals. Unless I've completely lost the thread on Canadian politics again.

And from the look of things, Dion is behind in the times. It looks like he's thinking that turning Liberals into a Canadian version of the Democratic Party is a good way to go. He should look down here and see how having one crazy-right party and one not-so-crazy-right party has worked out for us Americans.
