Feist: The Reminder

So, Feist's new album is very good. You should buy it. Predictably, because I'm so lame oddly, I find myself out of sync with the consensus that this album is weaker than her last. I'm enjoying The Reminder far more than Let it Bleed.

The Reminder is excellent IMHO, and a clear improvement over Let it Die.

For what it's worth, other pretentious music geeks agree.

Can't say I've heard anyone express that this record is weaker than the last. In fact, I wasn't a fan of let it die, at aaaallll. Mushaboom was glorious and Gatekeeper was nice, but beyond that, eh.

The Reminder, however, is spot on track after track. I've had it on repeat for days. Can't get enough.

Brandy Alexander is my current fave. I came up with this elaborate explanation as to who "Brandy" was. Maybe a girl Feist used to go to school with who egged everyone on to do bad shit and went down on all the boys. Low and behold, thanks to google, I now know it's a cocktail.

Learn something new everyday.

Weird. The ONLY reviews I'd read before listening to it all were one version or another of "meh", but every review I've read since has been "whee!".

I have no explanation.
