The Government Printing Office sells a set of flash cards that are designed to help soon-to-be citizens learn about our government. Question 80 asks, “Name one right or freedom guaranteed by the First Amendment.” The answer lists freedom of speech, religion, assembly and the right to petition the government — but omits freedom of the press (screen shot provided just in case the Web page mysteriously disappears).Just to be clear, the full text of the first amendment:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."
