What do we call him, a LINO?

OTTAWA (CP) - MP Pat O'Brien, who opposes the government's position on gay marriage, has quit the Liberals to sit as an Independent.

The move weakens the minority government and raises fresh questions about whether it can survive another confidence vote and pass its same-sex marriage legislation.
So this Liberal-in-name-only now isn't even that. So now we face the prospect of the government losing a vote on gay marriage, unless Duceppe decides to back the Liberals on this. Interesting. Does Duceppe betray the socially-progressive side of the BQ in favour of defeating the government? Or does he do the right thing for Canada, and Quebec? For most other people, this wouldn't be a tough choice. For Conservatives and separatists, however...

God, how many independents does this make now? 4?
